Removing Internet Cookies

Instructions are provided below to remove Internet cookies in any of the top five most popular web browsers.

Google Chrome

The following instructions were provided using version 42.0.2311.135 of Chrome, and therefore may be slightly different for the version you're using.

  • Click the Menu button in the top-right.
  • Click Settings.
  • Scroll down and click Show advanced settings....
  • Under Privacy, you'll see two buttons. Click the Clear browsing data... button.
  • A smaller dialog window will appear on-screen with a list of checkboxes. To only delete cookies, uncheck all boxes except for the Cookies and other site and plug-in data option.
  • Click the Clear browsing data button.

Mozilla Firefox

The following instructions were provided using version 26.0 of Firefox, and therefore may be slightly different for the version you're using.

  • Click the orange Firefox button in the top-left to access the menu.
  • Click Options.
  • Click on the Privacy tab.
  • Under History, you'll see a dropdown menu and two options below it. Click on the last option, remove individual cookies.
  • Click the Remove All Cookies button.
  • Click the Close button.

Opera

The following instructions were provided using version 29.0.1795.47 of Opera, and therefore may be slightly different for the version you're using.

  • Click the Opera button in the top-left to access the menu.
  • Click Settings.
  • Click on the Privacy & security option in the left-side panel.
  • Under Cookies, you'll see two buttons. Click the All cookies and site data... button.
  • A smaller dialog window will appear on-screen. Click the Delete all button.
  • Click the Done button.

Microsoft Internet Explorer

The following instructions were provided using version 11.0.9600.17728 of Internet Explorer, and therefore may be slightly different for the version you're using.

  • Click on the Tools button in the top-right.
  • Click Internet options.
  • Under the General tab, click on the button Delete... under Browsing history.
  • To only delete cookies, uncheck all boxes except for the Cookies and website data option.
  • Click the Delete button.

Apple Safari

The following instructions were provided using version 5.1.7 of Safari, and therefore may be slightly different for the version you're using.

  • Click on the Settings button in the top-right, to the right of the Page Menu button.
  • Click on Preferences....
  • A smaller dialog window will appear on-screen. Click on the Privacy tab.
  • Click on the Remove All Website Data... button.
  • Yet another dialog window will appear. Click the Remove Now button.
