About This Project
My Notepad was my first true collaboration project. It was a general discussion forum, originally hosted by ProBoards for two years before being moved to its own domain and starting afresh with the MyBB forum software.
Over its five-year run, the forum accumulated a total of 138 members, 1,044 threads, and 36,887 posts.
My Notepad was taken offline during the winter of 2013.
Through this project, I made many friends, but there's one in particular that I'd like to mention; Mark. He was the owner of this project, and the very first person that I became friends with online. We're still friends to this day, and it's because of him that DylRicho exists at all.
Compatibility
At the time, My Notepad was designed to be compatible with the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer.
My Responsibilties
- Moderated content posted by other users to ensure it complied with community guidelines.
- Issued warnings and/or bans to users that were found to have broken said guidelines.
- Designed default avatars for user profiles.
- Designed theme elements (e.g., BBCode icons and emoticons).
- Helped identify and resolve any theme-related complications.
- Archived threads that were no longer required.
- Helped approve/deny affiliation requests.
- Ensured the forum software was kept up to date, and monitored server load (MyBB).
